• 114 Joynton Avenue, Zetland

Northrop was integral to the consultant team investigating redevelopment of the existing Xerox site, Zetland. The feasibility for mixed use commercial and residential development required careful consideration to services and interfacing to adjoining sites.

The site has a restricted frontage to Joynton Avenue - Northrop liaised with Authorities to plan routes / treatments for services to optimise developable areas.

  • O'Dea Av/South Dowling Street, Waterloo

Masterplan options were developed for this site on the corner of O'Dea Avenue and South Dowling Street, Waterloo. Northrop was integral in providing advice on all utility services and stormwater management measures to accommodate three (3) new high-rise buildings, public open spaces and street networks.

A substantial amount of existing services were investigated and mapped to inform site planning and determine the need for dedicated corridors/easements.

  • Moruya River Intake

A new 600 diameter steel water supply pipeline 30kms in length was constructed to secure the water supply of coastal communities within Eurobodalla shire. The regional scheme draws water from the Moruya river to fill deep creek dam located near Batemans bay. The dedicated pipeline provides a better overall water quality for the region. Northrop Engineers was in partnership with Eco Civil Pty Ltd to design 12.5km of pipeline and associated structures.

Works included design of spillway and inlet control structure of deep creek dam, a 0.5ML balance tank to assist in pumping operations and innovative designs for creek crossings.
