Coomera State Special School
Located in of one of the fastest growing areas in Southeast Queensland, Coomera State Special School is one of four new schools that have been delivered on the Gold Coast since 2018. Northrop were engaged by FKG to provide structural engineering services for stage one of the primary to year 12 campus project.
Stage one of the works provided capacity for 144 students and consisted of the delivery of multi-storey junior and senior learning buildings, a resource centre, a multi-purpose hall, hospitality and central amenities, administration block and carpark. On a site with challenging terrain and geotechnical conditions, Northrop worked closely with the FKG team to meet the tight deadlines of the project and ensured successful delivery in time for opening in term one, 2022.
