• Belconnen Markets Redevelopment

    Sustainability Master Planning, Green Star Accredited Professional and Engineering Services

    Belconnen Markets Redevelopment are targeting a 6 star communities rating under the new Green Star Communities tool, and is forecasted to be Australia's first Sustainable Community. All buildings within the project are being designed to a 6 star rating under each relevant Green Star tool. Northrop Sustainability is currently involved in providing sustainability master planning advice, Green Star Accredited Professional services and building performance modelling.

  • Charles Sturt University

    Green Star Accredited Professional and Engineering Design Services

    CSU has been awarded a 6 Star Green Star Office Design rating and is Australia's first regional building to achieve this rating. The project significantly exceeded Green Star energy benchmarks and is the first project in Australia to use phase change material as a ceiling material or in the floor screed. The project was awarded an ACEA Award for Excellence in the environmental category in 2009.

  • Gordon Aged Care

    Sustainability Master Planning and Green Precinct Grant Application

    Gordon Aged Care is a 400 bed aged care facility, currently in its master planning stage. Northrop Sustainability provided a detailed sustainability master plan which incorporated large scale water sensitive urban design, transport strategies, energy generation and energy efficiency design concepts. The project was shortlisted for the $1.5M Federal Government's Green Precinct Grant in 2009.

  • Discovery House

    Green Star Accredited Professional and Engineering Design Services

    Discovery House is the ACT's first Green Star Office As Built certified project. The project represents best practice and cost effective office design. Northrop Sustainability was involved throughout the project design and construction stages to ensure that all sustainable design objectives were fully implemented during construction.

  • IBM Building

    Building Performance Modelling and Green Building Fund Application

    IBM Building is an existing 1980's building requiring a mechanical plant upgrade. Northrop Sustainability performed energy performance modelling toprovide advice on improving the energy efficiency to NABERS Energy 4.5 stars for the base building. Northrop Sustainability also prepared the application for the $0.5M Federal Government Green Building Grant.
