    New district hospital consisting of a ground and lower ground level including offices, isolation areas, x-ray, consulting, ambulatory care, etc.

  • The Arbour, Berry

    Northrop is principal engineering consultant for the Arbour Retirement Village in Berry. Work has included design of a 60m long bridge passing over a floodway and creek corridor; road, services and siteworks planning for the 5 stage development; negotiation of RTA road upgrades and acting as superintendent for construction works.

  • Treeview Estate, Lithgow

    Northrop is involved with the structural, civil, stormwater and hydraulic design for the new aged care facility. A large bulk excavation works was undertaken to balance the earthworks and to provide relevant access grades for senior living developments. We have been instrumental in developing stormwater management strategies to complement landscaping. This includes landscape drainage swales to treat the stormwater runoff from the roads.

  • Southern Cross Village, Garran ACT

    Southern Cross Village is an aged care development in Garran ACT. The project consists of a 70 bed multi-storey aged care hostel and 14 independent living units. Community facilities are provided in the aged care hostel. Northrop has provided a multi-disciplined service including structural, civil, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical. Northrop were involved in site master-planning, detailed design and construction supervision for all these disciplines. Project value is $14M.

  • Elizabeth Lodge

    Northrop designed the mechanical and electrical services for this luxury aged care facility. This facility incorporates heat recovery systems and variable speed ventilation systems design to minimise energy consumption.

  • Kangara Waters, Belconnen ACT

    Kangara Waters is a significant aged care facility to be constructed on the shores of Lake Ginninderra in Canberra. The project consists of a multi-storey 100 bed residential aged care facility and 150 self care units. The self care units will be provided by a mix of two and four storey apartment buildings and single storey duplex villas. The aged care facility will include dementia, palliative care and therapy units. Northrop is providing civil and structural engineering services. The development application has been submitted and detailed design is complete and construction services have recently commenced. Project value $80M.
