    Northrop designed the Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics and Fire services for the base building and fitout of this 9,000sqm new office space. Northrop's electrical engineers have been nominated for an award for their design using the innovative DALI Lighting system.

  • Centraplaza Office Development, Woden Town Centre, Canberra

    The Building Services section of the Canberra office of Northrop Consulting Engineers designed all engineering disciplines for this 8 storey, 10,000sqm office development in Woden town centre. The building consists of a 2 level basement, ground floor and 5 typical office levels with a roof top plantroom. The building was designed to achieve a number of different criteria which included; 5 star base building ABGR, 4 star Greenstar design rating, property council grade A building and federal government tenant brief. The project value is approx $25M.

  • Commercial Centre, Tuggerah Straight

    Completed in 2008, this $8M development on the Pacific Highway at Wyong consists of 7800m2 of office and retail space. Northrop were faced with an extremely tight deadline to provide the structural, civil and mechanical design for the development. By coordinating the workload between our offices, we were able to meet this deadline, enabling the builder to be on site earlier than normal.

  • Illawarra Star Motors

    This new two (2) story building consists of a reception, offices, amenities, automotive services and workshop. Key innovations include the use of natural ventilation in the workshops and the use of concealed air conditioning outlets in the Foyer. Northrop provided mechanical services for the project.

  • Lithgow Government Offices

    Northrop provided the structural and civil engineering for the development of this government office building at Lithgow. The design of the building involved piles, post tensioned floor slabs, concrete columns, precast concrete walls and steel framing. The overall cost of the project was $7.5M. The striking steel and glass stairwell provides a standout feature to the building. The use of precast walls combined with a variety of lightweight finished combine to make this award winning building stand out from the crowd.
