A hole in one - charity golf day raises over $46K for Ronald McDonald House

The Northrop team donned their best party shirts, joining Ronald McDonald House volunteers, and our wonderful sponsors and clients for this year’s charity golf day.

Held at Waratah Golf Course on Friday 12th May, 124 players across 31 teams joined in the fun and frivolity, all in the name of a great cause.

The day was a huge success, raising a whopping $46,866 for Ronald McDonald House.

As a silver sponsor, Northrop has raised more than $488K over the last two decades, helping to give seriously ill children the best gift of all - their families.

Congratulations to Stevens Group (scratch winners) and Robson Civil (nett winners), and to everyone that took home the great prizes on offer.

A massive thank you to our corporate sponsors. Your continued generosity year after year is inspiring and without you, this day just wouldn’t happen.

Ross Bingham, CE0, Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW:

“What an amazing day!! The weather was perfect, the golf course was in top nick and the Northrop team once again went above and beyond to support every team attending on the day. It is this attention to others that makes the day a stand out and shows the community spirit of Northrop.

At Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW we feel very fortunate to have had the support of Northrop for the last 20 years.

The relationship goes well beyond the Golf Day with Northrop providing engineering support for our Family Rooms, Family Retreat and Ronald McDonald Houses over this time and continuing. The Team have been a part of our Meals from the Heart program supporting families directly by cooking meals and serving them at the Newcastle House and have supported a variety of our fundraising initiatives from Golf Days to Balls and beyond.

A massive thank you to Neil Petherbridge and Todd Bailey and all of the team at Northrop for your community attitude and commitment to making a real difference to sick children and families by supporting our Ronald McDonald House.”
