Feet on the ground in Sydney's 2nd CBD

Did you know that Parramatta is accessible to 2.3 million people within 45 minutes? That means on average 50% of our clients and staff will be able to access Parramatta with ease.

Northrop’s western Sydney contingent is in full swing with our Parramatta office opening its doors in early April. Located on Horwood Place it houses a team of 10 structural engineers and drafters with the intent on building an entire multidisciplinary capacity over time.

Craig Furness, an associate and senior structural engineer has relocated from Sydney to manage the office – he’s been the driving force in taking Northrop out to the second CBD not only to capitalise on the opportunities in such a buoyant market but also to provide an office closer to home for many of our people. “Parramatta is absolutely booming at the moment and we want to be a part of it” says Craig. “Having a local Parramatta presence brings the workplace closer for a lot of our Northrop people, which is so important to those with young families”.

We see great opportunities for our people and our clients in our move out west. Having feet on the ground in what’s deemed the engine room of Sydney’s most significant economic growth region will give us a level of accessibility to our clients, ensuring we can provide the highest level of service at all times.

This expansion comes in response to a period of considerable growth for Northrop, now employing over 350 people across Australia.  At Northrop we believe in providing opportunities for our people to thrive and we are excited to see what this next chapter will bring.
